Smalltown Boy AI is the cat-dance format that spread across short-video feeds in October 2026. It starts in a bright, minimal living room filmed from a low wide-angle camera: a grey cat stands on its hind legs right in front of the lens, clasps its paws on its head and screams, while a spotted cat dances behind it. Then the two dance side by side, swap places and rush the camera until their faces fill the frame. People swap their own pets into those two spots and keep everything else, so the feed fills up with tabbies, bulldogs, ragdolls and the occasional owner doing the same routine.
This template makes that version from two photos. Photo 1 becomes the one screaming into the lens, photo 2 the dancer behind. Leave both on Pet for the classic two-pet clip, or set one to Person to scream at the camera yourself while your cat dances in the background. The room, the five cuts, the camera and the timing stay exactly as in the original.
The result is a 14-second 9:16 vertical clip, the same shape as the versions people are posting. Use clear, well-lit photos where each face is easy to see, ideally one animal or one person per photo.
