In September an AI-made character called Jean Phil, a deadpan Frenchman with a blond bob, a handlebar moustache and a brown houndstooth suit, took over TikTok and Instagram. The clip that turned into a format is a short full-body dance set to “Gang Gang”: a lean, a few loose steps, a point at the camera and a hand-on-hip finish. Within days people were dropping themselves, their friends and their pets into it.

This template makes that version from a single photo. The model replaces the dancer with whoever is in your picture and keeps everything that makes the clip work: the timing, the moves, the plain studio backdrop and the song.

You choose the outfit. Keep what you are wearing in your photo, so a cream sweater and wide jeans stay a cream sweater and wide jeans, or switch to the brown houndstooth suit for the full Jean Phil look. Pets get the same treatment: your dog comes back as an upright, suited-up version of itself, dancing on its hind legs.

Do I need a full-body photo?+

It works best. The dance is filmed head to toe, so the model needs to see your clothes and shoes. A half-body photo works too; with a tight headshot it has to guess everything below the collar.

Can I use my dog or cat?+

Yes. A pet becomes an upright version of itself with the same face, ears and fur, dancing on its hind legs with paws for hands. It reads as a playful cartoon of your pet rather than a real animal, and results vary more than with people, so use a clear photo where the whole pet is visible.

Does it keep the song?+

Yes. The clip comes back with the same track, in time with the moves. The model renders sound and picture together, so the audio can sound very slightly different from the original.

How long is it, and what shape?+

About 12 seconds, vertical 9:16, at 768p by default or 1440p if you pick it. That is the same length and shape as the clips people are already sharing on TikTok, Reels and Shorts.
