What ACE-Step is good at — and what it's not

ACE-Step is the low-cost, lyrics-first music model: describe a style with tags, provide your own lyrics, and it composes a track with vocals on your words. It's one of the cheapest ways to generate music on ZOOOP, and it supports tracks up to four minutes — full-length songs rather than short loops. That combination makes it a fit for generating many drafts, exploring genres, and producing complete songs around a set of lyrics.

The two inputs are simple: tags for style and mood, and lyrics for the words. Change the tags to swing between genres cheaply, or iterate on lyrics until the song lands.

Where it sits among ZOOOP's audio models: Lyria 3 Pro is Google's higher-end music model; Minimax Music V2.6 is another lyrics-capable option; Music Generator focuses on instrumental tracks. For non-musical sound, use Sound Effects V2; for narration, Multilingual V3. ACE-Step's sweet spot is affordable, full-length, lyric-driven songs.

A reasonable mental model: default to ACE-Step for cheap, full-length songs built around your lyrics, and step up to Lyria 3 Pro when you want higher-end musical quality.
