Why the continuous take matters
The reason this shot has been a staple since long before AI video is that an unbroken move is the only way to make a viewer feel a distance. Cut from orbit to a street and you have shown two places; fall from one to the other and you have shown how far apart they are. Everything in this template — the acceleration, the cloud layer, the slight shake — exists to keep that single move believable.
Choosing the landing image
Give the descent something to aim at. A wide exterior with visible roads, a coastline, a distinct building footprint, or a recognisable skyline gives the model geometry to converge on as it slows. Interiors, tight portraits and close product shots have no such geometry, and the result tends to snap rather than settle.
