Tesla Roadster Ramp Flip AI: Send Your Car, a Toilet or Your Dog Up the Giant Ramp

TutorialsPublished on

A night test site. A giant curved ramp standing straight up in the dark. A car rolls to the bottom, floors it, climbs the curve higher and higher until it is hanging upside down at the very top, shoots off the end, gets flipped right side up by four thrusters in mid-air and drops into a huge cloud of white smoke. That was the moment everyone kept replaying from the new Roadster reveal. Two days later the internet had its own version: school buses, old sedans, sofas and dogs going up that ramp instead.

This post covers where the Tesla Roadster ramp flip came from, what happens in those eleven seconds, and how to send your own car, anything lying around your house, or your pet up the ramp from a single photo.

Where did the Tesla Roadster ramp flip trend come from?

In mid-October 2026 Tesla revealed the new Roadster at a night-time test site, and the stunt that stole the show was the ramp: the car raced up a giant ramp that curves past vertical, ran the bend upside down, launched off the top, righted itself in mid-air and landed clean. The official ramp clip was everywhere within hours, and people went looking for it as "the Tesla flip".

Then everyone started asking the same question: what if something else went up there? The swaps got sillier by the day, and the Tesla Roadster ramp flip turned from a car launch video into a "put anything on the ramp" meme. That is exactly what our template does.

The clip, stage by stage

The Roadster Ramp Flip template is one continuous shot. The camera, the ramp and the night test site all match the reveal clip; only the star is replaced with whatever you upload. The whole Tesla Roadster ramp flip runs 11 seconds, in five stages:

  1. Your thing sits at the foot of the giant curved ramp.
  2. It takes off and races up the curve, which keeps getting steeper until it bends past vertical.
  3. At the top it is hanging completely upside down, and it shoots off the end.
  4. Four thrusters underneath it fire blue-white jets and flip it right side up in mid-air.
  5. It drops into a huge cloud of white smoke as the camera pushes in.

Here it is in motion. The animations in this post are silent and shortened; the real video runs the full 11 seconds with the roar of the stunt.

What can you put on the ramp?

The Tesla Roadster ramp flip is not picky about its star. Pretty much anything you can photograph as one thing works: your own car, a bike, an armchair, a toilet, a pair of sneakers, a toy, or a product you sell. Cats and dogs work too; just pick Pet in the template. For the best result:

  • One thing per photo. With two things in the picture, the template cannot tell which one should go up the ramp.
  • Get all of it in frame. A cropped bumper, chair leg or tail comes out as the model's best guess.
  • Good light, plain background. The background of your photo never comes along (it is always the same night test site), but a clean one gives a sharper outline.
  • Full body for pets. Your pet climbs the ramp on its own four legs, so a sitting or standing full-body photo works best.

Your thing keeps its own shape, colours and materials, scaled up so it can pull off the stunt.

How to make your Tesla Roadster ramp flip video with ZOOOP

  1. Open the Roadster Ramp Flip template and upload one photo.
  2. Keep the default Car or object for things, or switch to Pet for a cat or dog. Keep 480p, or choose 720p for a sharper clip.
  3. Hit generate and download the clip.

No prompt, no editing. The ramp, the test site and the whole run are already set up.

What surprised us while building the template

The dog runs it himself. We expected a pet to come out as a stiff ornament sliding up the ramp. Instead, the golden retriever scrambled up the curve on all four legs, tail still wagging while he hung upside down. The thrusters fire right under his paws, and he lands looking very pleased with himself.

No wheels, no problem. The armchair and the toilet slide up the ramp face, hang upside down at the top and shoot off just the same, with the thrusters under the chair legs and the toilet base. Watching a toilet fly off the top of the ramp upside down was the funniest moment of all our Tesla flip tests.

A white toilet flies off the top of the ramp upside down, flips right side up on thruster jets and lands in white smoke

The size is not fixed. In the reveal clip the car is tiny, barely a dot on the ramp. Everything we made comes out much bigger, so you can actually see it is your thing. How much bigger changes from run to run, though: at the foot of the same ramp, the sitting retriever is taller than the armchair and the toilet is the smallest of the three.

The last second makes the best thumbnail. After the landing the camera pushes in on your thing standing in the smoke with the test-site lights behind it. That frame is made for a cover image.
